Ordering Basics
Below you can find more information about our ordering process, through all of the steps as well as our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
Artwork
Things we need to begin the design process.:
- To scale drawing or measurements to apply to drawing provided
- Type of material, thickness and color.
- Number of imprint colors and PMS numbers if desired
- Quantity Needed
- Artwork: Your artwork needs to be PC formatted. We use CorelDrawX3 or Adobe Illustrator CS2 or earlier versions. Include in the artwork all files (fonts, scales, etc.) that are to be used when creating your artwork; Digital artwork submitted should be Vector Art. Raster Art can be provided but may need some in-house clean up at a charge of $25.00/ Half hour. To assure we can accurately view your art, please send a JPG or PDF file along with your vector art.
Forms of Artwork
The artwork we accept falls into two seperate categories:
Raster Artwork– Raster artwork is an image created of many pixels. This results in artwork that is NOT editable, scalable, or able to be separated for spot color reproduction. Common Raster file formats include: .jpg .bmp .psd .tif .pcx . gif
Vector Artwork – Vector artwork is an image created of points and paths. This results in artwork that is editable, scalable, and able to be separated for spot color reproduction. Common Vector file formats include: .ai .eps .cdr .pdf
Text Formats
The text that we accept falls under two distinct formats:
Live Text – Live text is still in a text format in the artwork’s original program and can still be spell checked and corrected. Live text requires the fonts used in order to be displayed and printed correctly.
Converted Text (preferred) – Outlines/paths/curves are vector artwork and as such can no longer be spell checked. However they do not require fonts in order to be displayed or printed correctly.
Production
Production Times
Production times are approximate and are quoted at 20 working days with the 20th day being the shipping day. Specific ship dates must be confirmed with our Customer Service Department. If a proof is needed, production time will begin after the proof has been approved and returned. Additional or extended processes will increase standard production times. This includes materials that require extended processes.
Rush Service
We will, for an additional charge, produce an order in less than normal production time. Charges and availability vary depending on current work load, item involved, complexity of art, and production. Call for a quote.
Overruns/Underruns
We manufacture everything to order and ship and bill quantities of plus or minus 10%.
Shipping Policies
We will ship Ground Freight via our standard carriers unless otherwise specified.
Split Shipments
For a split shipment there is an additional $15.00 (net) charge for each additional destination.
F.O.B. Point
All prices and liability are F.O.B our plant in Bryan, Ohio.
Cancellations
All orders must be cancelled in writing. Cancelled orders will incur a cancellation charge of $50.00 NET plus all production costs incurred up to the cancellation date. Returns must be authorized. Please call Customer Service for return authorization within 7 days of ship date. Returns made without authorization will not be accepted.
Product Use
We reserve the right to use all products in advertising, displays, and as samples unless otherwise clearly specified in writing at the time an order is placed.
